Founded in 1968, we are a Canadian family business that was launched with the needs of our customers in mind. At our very core, we are focused on people. 50 Years Of Growth
We have spent the last 50 years building partnerships with our clients and others in the industry. Through the years, we have fostered strong relationships and garnered industry expertise that helps us advise you on the most effective air quality solutions.
Darrel Sutton starts working at B. Guthrie Engineering and the replacement filter division is launched.
Exclusive supplier agreement established with AAF.
Darrel and partners buy shares in the replacement filter division and create B.G.E. Service & Supply Ltd.
Launch of BIOLAB Air Quality Services division which is certification of critical environments.
Today we call it Critical Environment Services.
BioLab test lab is developed.
B.G.E. acquires Filtertech Industries (a filtration manufacturer).
Expansion to Fort McMurray. The BioPac is patented.
Expansion to British Columbia.
Expansion to Manitoba.
Three new proprietary fibreglass formulas are developed for commercial and heavy industrial use.
Introduce new BioPac Nano (Nanowave technology).
Succession from 1st generation to 2nd generation
(Roberta and Ian MacGillivray purchase B.G.E. from Darrel and Dorothy Sutton).
BGE Celebrates 50 years in business.
The Filter Shop is rebranded and becomes BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions.
BGE acquires 30,000 sq.ft. distribution warehouse in Nisku (DWE) and relocates inventory for distribution.
BGE acquires Con-Test, a Canadian leader in certifying and testing controlled environments.
